Mabvuku Tafara is named after two old, high-density suburbs of Harare. The teacher wrote and played this song on mbira for many years before arranging it for marimba. The song was inspired by East African guitar music being played in the 1970's, and has a young and funky sound. Students will have a chance to groove on a rhumba type beat on marimba.
